Who's fault is it that there are so many illegals?  And their number seems to keep steadily increasing!

My feeling is that there have always been illegal or undocumented immigrants coming to this country.  The majority do this looking for a better life and they can't wait the years it sometimes take to actually get granted an immigrant visa to come here.

Most if not all of the jobs that they do, no US citizen wants; but they are easy scapegoats when economic times are tough.

Its very hard to say whose fault for increase in illegal immigrants. People intend to come to US for few reason,
  • Jobs
  • Standard of Living
  • Transportation
  • Trust in Government
Every want to lead a very good life, if the native country is not providing such thing then they tend to flow to the US either legally or illegally.

All said and done, the main fault is of those entering illegally. Unless they decide to pursue a stay in the US legally, guess the problem will remain...

Actually, a new study found that  11.1 million illegalimmigrants lived in the U.S. in 2009. This represents a decrease ofroughly 1 million, or 8 percent, from the peak of 12 million in 2007.

Is is not an economically driven problem?  You can blame the undocumented workers but US employers are also to blame.

Most of the reason that I can see is because of poverty.

The reason in the hike of USCIS fee is to increase the security at Mexican and US border, the hike might raise money up to $600 million. So it might reduce the illegal immigrants.

This is not the actual count because many illegal don't want to enlist themselves for fear that they might be deported.

Yes, the person entering the US has to do so legally. Border Security had to get to work on this...being so vigilant that they don't allow anyone undocumented to pass through the borders.

But what about those who are already within the country? What about those who did not know better or had no chance of knowing they were entering illegally - the babes in arms and the lil kids?
