May I know, whether there is any particular work visa for Australian to work in US, for instance E-3 visa is for skilled labor; similarly for unskilled Australian got any visa to work or they must use H2-B visa itself?

Australian citizens are eligible for E-3 Treaty Professional Visas. E-3 Visa allows Australian nationals to enter the United States to work in a 'Specialty Occupation' meaning he/she has the necessary license or other official permission to practice in the specialty occupation, and who have an offer of employment  already in place.

H-2B visas is applicable for unskilled and skilled labors to work in USA for short duration of time or seasonal non agricultural job.

Hi there,

That depends on what kind of work he/she will be doing in the US. There are different visas for different work categories:

There is a reciprocal work and holiday visa program open to Australian citizens too. You may find that your friend qualifies in that way.

It's the J1 visa, but looking into it more you need to be a tertiary student. This is a special restriction for the Australian visa program, which has a reciprocal agreement with many countries (with the USA being one of the only countries with a limit).
